What should I wear?
Something comfortable that you can move around easily in. Don’t worry about shoes, yoga is done barefoot. I would recommend wearing some layers, you will warm up during class and then cool down again during relaxation.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it with you. I do have a supply of mats and blocks for students to use. You may also want to bring a water bottle and a small towel. In winter, I recommend bringing a blanket for our guided relaxation.
Do I need to book in?
Yes, please contact me to book in as I have limited space. Classes are currently based on a term pass. If it is your first class, please arrive 10 minutes early so you can fill out a registration form.
Do I have to be flexible to do Yoga?
Definitely not. I will provide modifications for all levels, whether you can touch your toes or not is irrelevant. You can still benefit greatly from the various yoga postures, improving not only your flexibility but also your balance, strength and relaxation techniques.
Can I eat before class?
I would recommend if you are hungry, just have something light before class. If you try to do yoga on a full stomach, some postures may feel uncomfortable for you.
