My name is Emma. I am a Jerrabomberra local and have been practising Yoga since 2002. In January 2015 I qualified in Canberra as a Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher through Yoga Trinity and qualified as a Core Yoga Instructor in April 2016. I am a registered Level 1 teacher with Yoga Australia and hold a First Aid certification.
What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga? Based on the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, I will take you through a series of postures (asanas), mainly from the Ashtanga Primary Series, flowing from one pose to the next using mindful movement and steady breath. In each class we will practice Sun Salutations and a variety of standing, balancing and seated postures, ending with some guided relaxation.
Classes can be tailored to individual needs based on experience, strength and ability.
It is my firm belief that Yoga is great for your body and can help relax your mind. You don’t have to be extremely flexible to enjoy yoga. Yoga can be done by anybody. The mission of Body & Soul Yoga is to lead you through a series of poses safely and have you leaving a class feeling energised yet relaxed and over time, developing your strength and flexibility.
Why should you do Yoga?
Yoga is very beneficial to people of all levels of fitness. With regular practice, using movement with breath, you will gain strength, body tone and flexibility. It makes you more aware of your own posture and is especially good for people who sit hunched
in front of a computer all day (did you suddenly sit up straighter when you read that?). It’s known to be good for stress relief and it’s 60 minutes in the day just for you. Leave the world outside and come and give it a go.

Yoga is not a “quick fix” and you won’t become an expert in a short time, but with consistent practice, you will improve and realise the benefits that can be gained from a regular Yoga class.
I am based in Jerrabomberra, NSW and teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga to all ages and fitness levels to assist you to attain strength, flexibility and feelings of well-being.
